I'm preparing myself mentally for waiting in line at Target in the morning to attempt to put my grubby paws on a 37" Olevia LCD TV for $549.99, limit 2 per customer. I am posting my daring intent partially because declaring it out loud might keep me from chickening out when the alarm goes off at 5am. Fortunately for me, the girls have been waking up between 5 and 6 for weeks so this will not be far from the norm for me.
I wonder what percentage of people who participate in this have a sense of humor about it. I think it must be a lot, but some of them are probably just competitive classy americans who pride themselves on saving 12 bucks on the latest tickle me elmo limit 5 per customer.
If anyone reads this Thursday night, you're welcome to join me for some early morning amusement, if anyone else is participating in things of this nature, good luck and tell me about it.
Happy T-day
Shawn

i think shopping on the friday after thanksgiving is hilarious. i think the cranky people are hilarious. i think the getting up in the freezing cold and waiting outside in line in your pajamas is hilarious. i almost wish that i was going too, except that i always had pictured myself as going my whole life without spending money on a tv. i dont know why--i just thought that we would survive on hand me downs or something. spending money on a tv is crossing some sort of line that i'm not sure i'm ready to cross. so--if i don't go with that makes it better i guess. =) oh--and lucy and ruby have a fever and they dont think those things are hilarious. so--i'm staying home this year. good luck, shawn. and if you get the chance, maybe you should pick up some $4 dvds to go with our new tv. i wish the diapers were going on sale...
love,

I almost got up at 4am to go to the mall to buy a new coat. But, at 4am when Mom asked if I wanted to get up, I mumbled, "Ehhh. Nooo." But I got there around 9 instead. The crowds weren't too bad, but I still didn't find the coat I was looking for. Oh well.
Did you get the TV?
